Every child deserves to see well. KinderSee is a comprehensive program designed to screen socio-economically disadvantaged children for visual problems, and when needed to provide glasses, vision care, comprehensive medical eye care, and treatment for amblyopia (lazy eye) at public school. KinderSee serves a medically at-risk student population unlikely to receive appropriate care through the present healthcare system due to language, access and socioeconomic barriers. By partnering with local public schools and school-based health centers, KinderSee provides integrated eye care from vision screening to glasses to treatment for amblyopia (lazy eye) in order to offer each child a school enviornment where their vision does not impede their learning and their ability to succeed in life.
